This week’s opening thought: working toward societal change ain’t easy - but there is hope in fighting today for a better today and tomorrow.
This week’s opening thought: You may have the best of intentions when it comes to wanting to be an ally or accomplice but you shouldn’t expect Black folx and persons of culture to trust your intentions.
This week’s opening thought, expressly for Black folx: anti-Semitism is a perpetuation of white supremacy. When we participate in anti-Semitic language and actions we are actively being white supremacists. We can and should be better.
This week’s opening thought: people of culture are under no obligation to teach white people and non-white people with white privilege how to be anti-racist. This lack of obligation extends to even if we’re on your company’s payroll. It will always be our choice, not yours.
This week’s opening thought: being an anti-racist means not just dipping your toe in the water every now and again.
