Hey, y'all! I'm on this week's episode of Cinder's Connecting Awesome People podcast! We get real and candid about the trauma of being Black, melanated, and intersectional in the workplace. We also talk about HR and DEI. And, if you know me or follow my work, you already know this wasn't some "baby gloves" conversation.

When you bomb a job interview, it feels terrible. Don’t get discouraged, it’s possible that it wasn’t entirely your fault. Maybe you expected to speak one-on-one with the hiring manager and you walked into a panel of people asking you questions. Perhaps you were prepared to answer behavioral questions, but instead you received off-the-wall questions you did not anticipate. Find Your Dream Job guest Pharoah Bolding says it’s perfectly fine for you to ask the hiring manager ahead of time what your interview format will be so that you can go into the conversation prepared. Pharoah also shares how to overcome pre-interview anxiety to ensure that you present your best self to the interviewer.

This Week's Featured Guest on Kornercast!

Many of you may not know this about me (but you probably do now because you’re on this website) but outside of my work in human resources and equity and inclusion I am a big ol' comic geek and pop culture nerd! I make comics, talk about comics, live a life immersed in pop culture, and own way too many action figures for a man my age to own. So I was honored when Khalil Quotap of Kaster's Korner asked me to be on this week's episode of Kornercast! Khalil and I talk race, gender identity, reading and creating comics, and artist alley. It's a hoot! Click here or on the image below to listen!
