Privilege in a Pandemic: A Virtual Equity Conversation

Science has informed us that COVID-19 does not discriminate. This does not mean that this pandemic has not had a massive physical, mental, and emotional impact on persons of culture and underserved populations. As we watch this all unfold it has become more and more apparent that privilege is playing a large part in this impact. It's an impact that we are societally and collectively not talking about - and it's time to start talking.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time, I will be hosting and facilitating a virtual group discussion about privilege in this pandemic. During this chat, I’ll be defining privilege; examining how privilege is playing out in the pandemic, and discussing ways to ensure our privilege isn't weaponized against others during and after the pandemic. There will be opportunities for discussion and being in a community of learning, even if it is virtual.

The event is free and open to the public. To register for this virtual event click here!
